I know I’ve written about this a couple times before but…I can’t believe it was 25 years ago next month that Michael Jackson wowed us all with his amazing music video for Thriller! Honestly it doesn’t seem like it was that long ago…man does time fly! This morning on Good Morning America they were teaching the choreography to people in the crowd outside their studio in New York.  I still remember the moves so I danced in my living room for a minute in my robe and toweled head.   

I also remember the day Thriller premiered on MTV.  I was among 30 or so 3^rd graders who made a trip to our sister school across town, because they had cable and we didn’t.  Can you believe we took a field trip for a music video back then? That would be unheard of today.  We all gathered around one television in the cafeteria and watched in awe as Michael turned into a zombie and a werewolf in his famous red leather jacket.  I wonder if he knew back then how big he really was, and how famous he would become. My opinion- I still think he’s a great performer and a great musician despite his shortcomings. He’s on the cover of Ebony this month, in all his glory.
