its funny because its true

I cant stop giggling. Just read this post on Hyperbole and a Half and I almost peed myself. Its one of those dog parent stories that I can totaly relate to, being the dog mommy I am.

Cody has psychosis over every thing, mostly his toys. A couple of Christmases ago his Grandparents gave him a big motarized Hedgehog. It was so cute when you turned it on it would jiggle all over the floor. It didnt last more than a week until Cody tore the outside of the Hedgehog off and got to the plastic battery powered jiggly ball inside. I had to take it away from him, But I soon reintroduced him to his older tinier stuffed hedgehog that weve had forever. He loved that little hedgehog. One day I got the bright idea to take the skin from Larger Newer off limits Hedgehog (sans insides) and stuff tiny Hedgehog inside of it. Cody was excited to get Big Hedgehog back and soon remembered how fun it was to tear its fur off. When he discovered that tiny Hedgehog was inside his poor little brain could not process it! He went insane, Im not kidding you, he literally went insane. It was like his brain had been replaced with the motarized Jiggly ball he tore up. He was whining, pawing, barking, going in circles, laying down standing up, sniffing tiny Hedgehog as if he had just been born. He started twisting his head at us like we were the most evil parents ever! Not a funny trick mom and dad! It was hilarious to us of course, but Cody wasnt having it and proceeded to take tiny Hedgehog away to save him from our evil ways.

So today I was reminded of Codys Hedgehog psychosis when I read this: I have included a tiny snippet below with illustrations

From post titled “Wild Animal (the Simple Dog Goes for a Joy Ride)

…She violently destroyed every toy she had – even her inexplicably-patriotic-themed squeaky owl toy, which is her favorite.
And after she destroyed her owl, she grieved.  And we had to sew it up for her to avoid pushing her any further into psychosis.
