No offense against men, but they are pigs. And if they weren't a pig before a woman moved in, then they will automatically become one. :P I have lived w/ 1 for 13 years and it is a daily fight at times to get him to do things, even the smallest thing. How do some women get so lucky as to get a guy to do chores and clean up after themselves w/o them telling them? You can sure tell you are used to living on your own! It's not just men, though. I've been in RD's shoes before. I had a roommate who tried your techniques on me once. She didn't think I was doing the dishes as often as she was, so she left them in the sink for a few days. Little did she know that I don't mind a few dishes in the sink and would rather not waste the water to wash a couple of plates when I could wait and do a whole sink-full. We had a nice long talk about how her techniques weren't working (and actually made me angry because I felt like she wasn't respecting me) and eventually came to an agreement.
