white noise

Why do I feel like I am going to die when I don’t get enough sleep?
I’m not even exaggerating either! I literally feel worse than I have ever felt when I am exhausted. Worse than I felt when I had mono, worse than I felt when I had surgery, worse than I have felt with any sickness. I mean it; this is what dying feels like.
This morning I caught myself staring out the window at work, I’m not sure how long I was doing that but it almost felt like I was sleeping with my eyes open. I feel like I’m floating, at least my head is. I’m not even sure if it is attached to my body because I’m sort of numb from the neck down. I feel a little buzzy on the inside.
Is buzzy a word?
Here’s an analogy for you: I feel like I have white noise in my veins.
Is this normal? I didn’t go to bed late, but I don’t think I slept all night. Is it normal to feel like death when you are tired? I was never like this when I was younger. I used to be able to stay out all night and then go to school and work with no problems at all. I may just keel over today. Can you die from not getting sleep? Ill be honest; Id rather die than feel like this.
Ugh, Its only 8:45…only eight hours to go.
Why are my teeth and eyeballs numb?
Eyeballs is a funny word

JENNY!!!! First of all HELLO! Secondly, I so feel your pain. I am a light sleeper and need all 8 hours of my sleep. When Allen comes to bed at 2AM as he is wont to do often, I spend the rest of the night tossing and turning, IT SUCKS. I have resorted to earplugs and a really loud alarm clock. For those nights when I know I have to sleep, I will take a couple of benedryl before I go to sleep or the doctor has actually prescribed Lunesta for me (but it doesn’t work as well as the benedryl). Allen snores too, but not bad. I am just a terribly light sleeper. Like, a mouse could fart and I would wake up. We got a Tempurpedic bed and that helped a bunch because I can not feel him getting in and out of bed anymore ( unless like last night, I am sprawled all over the bed and he has to move me..my bad, lol)
I feel your pain. I do, I really do. I get so grouchy and b*tchy and disoriented and sick and my body feels like it is VIBRATING. Seriously. It is the strangest feeling. I know exactly how you feel right now.
Get some sleep before you croak!!
Miss ya girl! I’m going to add your blog addy to my msn space so you can come say “hello”. I took my blog private and I don’t think I have you added.

If you feel this badly, maybe you should see a physician. It is not normal to feel the way you describe and you need to find out why. Be safe, not sorry. Make an appointment.
I remember for awhile–back when I’m not exactly sure–you were using some sleep aids to get some sleep right? Oh jeez, or am I confusing you for someone else. Anyway, I agree with Cat, if you are feeling THIS bad you need to go see a doctor. You might have some sleepig disorder and you really aren’t getting rest even though you are “sleeping”.
I feel like crap too when I don’t get enough sleep and all I can do is stare at myself in the bathroom mirror wondering if I can possibly make the bags under my eyes not so noticable. Probably not. My lack of sleep though is easy to fix–go to bed sooner.
Side note: I’m online more often now that I have a computer and with the rest of the world. Pop by my site sometime since I’m just starting it up, okay? :)
Good luck!
Hello there. I’m so glad you’re on WP now. I am too.
Anyway, you should go get checked out by a doctor. You may have sleep apnia and that messes up everything.
Good to ’see’ you again, I’ll definitely be back.
