cause there’s a party over here…
Saw the Chemical Brothers in concert last night at the Fillmore auditorium in Denver. I just have to say- F*cking fantastic show boys! A band called The Faint opened for them and they were great too, but the show the CB put on was just phenomenal. The light show and the screen behind them was like being inside of a music video. At one point though I did get a bit dizzy and had to focus on the people in the crowd to get my bearings again.
Lets talk about the people, what a diverse range of looks! There were of course the “normal” lookers like Rugby Dude, Jim and me…but then there were girls dressed up in tiny skirts, stilettos and argyle socks with long braided pigtails, and the boys who like boys who like girls who like boys, out of this world hair do’s and gilrs with great retro looks. The dancers in the crowd were always fun to watch, how do they do that? There was also a big group of middle aged men in tie dye shirts who looked like old hippies…were they the chemical brothers of their generation? who knows. I enjoyed the people watching as much as I enjoyed the show.
Despite the power going out in the middle of the show and a bit of frustration waiting for Jim’s date; who never showed (rude!) , the night was fantastic. We even had our picture taken by the Westword! I have to say I am a big fan of the CB. Check them out!
