i love my new job

…sometimes it feels like I am living The Devil Wears Prada…

…except my boss is not a snobby B word :) Every day its something different, I’m calling people, making travel arrangements, ordering flowers and gift baskets, scheduling lunches and dinners, confirming flight info, go! go! go!

I love it though. -

Its been about a month and Ive had various projects so far. Lately though Ive been assigned cookie duty. My boss has me ordering cookies for congratulatory gifts to be delivered. Its been a bit of a pain trying to find a cookie that is worthy. I cant wait until the project is finished though, its been a month of researching. Although I can’t complain about the samplings!

My boss is great though she has me on my toes all the time. I had to go buy myself a huge planner book (like Andy has in the movie) just to keep up with all the little things I need to do every day. And on top of that I have to keep track of everyones schedules and meetings. Its been interesting because they went to Chicago recently and between two of them I juggled close to fourty meetings, rescheduling at the last minute and moving people around like chess peices.

To top it off the weather there was horrible and this morning first thing I got a call from boss lady wanting to change her flight. I had the agent on one line and her on the other frantically wanting to get on the next flight out of there. After going back and forth between them, we got the last seat on an afternoon flight…whew. By the time I got off the call I was shaking because of all the adrenaline going on!

I feel more like a personal assistant than an office administrator, but I definitely will not be complaining! At least I can say that I love going to my job every morning, and it will never get boring…and the day goes by so fast! If I dont lose 20 lbs from the adrenaline and stress Ill be so mad ;) wanna know a secret? i already got a little raise! yay!
