it’s all a blur

Whew, what a weekend; I’m pooped!

Friday night Rugby Dude and his team had a fund raiser at a local bar that is sponsoring them. How much can you drink for $20 in just two hours? I found out I can drink about four pints of Pabst Blue Ribbon! Too bad I’m such a light weight when it comes to wine or hard alcohol, but I know Id be passed out by 10 if I let myself go there. It was fun, the bar was small and it filled up really fast. Soon there were people packed in like sardines, four rugby players thick at the bar, people had tables covered in pint beer anticipating the end of the two hour limit…it was good Irish pub style fun I tell you!

Saturday we were invited to a house party in Winter Park. It’s a beautiful drive if you have never been up there. RD and I made some mix cd’s, packed the Bronco for a night in the mountains, and we were off! We got there just in time to help put up some tarps in case of rain, but turns out they made a great sun shade instead. We set up camp in the bed of the Bronco (aka “Big Whitey” or the “OJ mobile”) and got ourselves ready for our rocky mountain high. The Delta Sonics set up their gear on the front porch and played all night for us drunken souls. At some point in the night my memory becomes really hazy. I do remember the cops being there, and someone tripping over the beer tent, and oh yeah- the lead singer of the band stood on top of Big Whitey during one of his songs! It was a fantastic party, one of the best I have ever been to.

After not nearly enough sleep we were up to help clean the mess left behind. Cheese and Rice it was like Woodstock or something. Broken tents and styrofoam coolers, beer bottles and food everywhere, you would think there was a huge mob there the night before or something! We packed up and drove back to Denver to start packing the house. (Insert sad, tired face here)

We were both so exhausted after the night before that we didn’t get nearly enough done on Sunday, only took four hung over trips back and forth to the new place with the truck filled with boxes. I can’t wait to move in all the way! It’s tough being in-between houses, trying to figure out where to sleep, where your clothes are, etc. It will be nice to finally be able to settle and not live out of bags anymore…and to be able to move in and merge our lives! I know it will be great. Now… where is my bed?

OJ Mobile…that’s too funny! Very good. Now, can you come up w/ a good name for my red ’05 Pontiac Sunfire? Probably not :( I’ll take suggestions from anyone though :)
