another one bites the dust

Well, its official…I’m out of a job again! :)

This time its my choice though. I suppose I can mention where I worked now that I’m not there anymore- It was S*msung.

Great company to work for- I met some really nice friends too. My friend M is probably the best girl friend Ive had in forever. She rocks. I hate to leave her here- I want to pack her up and take her with me! Plus working in HR was never dull. There was always something going on.

Last night I went out with a bunch of work friends and we just got smashed. Im so hung over today! We met up for a “couple” of beers and then we moved on to Cool River to listen to some live music. I actually danced to a Def Leppard song they played! That right there tells you that I was probably drunk as a skunk. (I am extremely disturbed by the way I look in all these pictures- bleh.)

So today I had my exit interview at 145 and they threw me a surprise party! So nice of them. I got a cake and a gift and everything. Too bad I didn’t hang out with these guys sooner, but I guess better late than never. Great gals. and Joe too.

S*msung had an insane Grand Opening event earlier this month for their new fab. Leann Rimes sang at the dinner, and sang the National Anthem at the grand opening! I couldn’t believe it. There were Palominos, UT cheerleaders, the UT band, the Governor of Texas was there and a friggin bald eagle soared above the crowd after Leann sang. It was something out of a crazy dream.

One funny thing- I was looking through the pictures this week and noticed one of the guys on the honor guard carrying the American Flag looked very familiar…turns out it was Dave- the very first guy I dated here a couple of years ago! I sent him an email and he replied yesterday confirming it was in fact him. Crazy small world. Check out the pictures.

Rugby Dude is coming tonight! I pick him up at the airport at about midnight. Tomorrow we drive to Corsicana to spend some time with my parents, and RD hasnt met my dad before so that will be fun :) I think my dad will like RD. They both have a lot in common. Not sure when I will be able to write again, but next Wednesday- Off to Denver! YAY!!
