What a great weekend I had!
Thursday night I flew out to Denver for the weekend since I had Friday off. Rugby Dude bought me the ticket wasn’t that sweet of him? …s i g h… I heart him.
It was so nice in Denver last weekend- IT SNOWED! I was so excited to actually be in cold weather for once except I didn’t pack a jacket and only had one pair of closed-toed shoes ha ha. Thursday night we had BBQ and watched movies in the warmth of his house…it was really too late to do anything else. The next day I became addicted to playing xBox while RD worked. Seriously… I am glad I don’t have that thing at my house because I would never get anything done!
That night, after a glass of red wine, we met a few friends out for dinner at Maggianos (their mushroom Ravioli is to die for) then went out to a bar for a few more drinks. Boy was I hung over the next day!
RD was supposed to have a rugby game Saturday afternoon but since it snowed all night it was canceled. At the time I was glad because we got to stay in bed (more sleep for my hangover) but thinking back I really wanted to see him play. Maybe next time. RD was all beat up before I got there from the last game. He has a black eye and a split lip. It’s so Sexy! That day we ended up sleeping until 1:30 in the afternoon!
Saturday, after we finally decided to peel ourselves out of bed, we went to an actual grown up party. And let me tell you, this was one cool house party. They hired a blues band, had it catered, and provided two kegs as well as an ice luge in the back yard. I don’t think I have ever been to a grown up party, I mean aside from the parties my parents used to throw when I was little, it was a nice change of pace. I got to meet a ton of RDs friends…a lot of them went to the same college as we did and played rugby there as well so it was like a reunion. It was a blast, RD and I even did a shot from the ice luge…and yes there are incriminating pictures.
Easter Sunday we decided to cook a little dinner for the both of us before I had to leave that night. It was nice, we made garlic mashed potatoes and I cooked a roast. RD likes to cook so it was nice that he actually wanted to help. I loves a man who can cook! It snowed almost the whole afternoon before I had to leave.
I hate leaving. It is absolutely the worst feeling in the world to leave behind someone you love. I know I will be back soon, but…I just miss him so much! I cant wait to be there for good. It will come soon I know.
Hope you all had a great Easter weekend too!
