Written on January 4, 2007
its 10:47pm- ( its been 38 hours since her water broke!!!!!!!!) and she still is only dialated to a 6 whatever that means…but this morning i heard that a 5 was at half way…i talked to mom again ad she sounded so tired…it made me want to cry, Ive never heard her like that. in the middle of our conversation she turned off to a conversation off the phone from us and said ” oh, ok…ok..” and when I asked she said sternly “Kristie says the nurse thinks we may need to to go hospital soon” and promptly hung up. Im stuck here not knowing what is going on. Im sort of scared. let me re phrase that. I am FREAKING OUT.

Be calm Jen –
Have they called back? I’ll keep checking in to see.

Hi, Jen-
Yes, be calm! First labors are usually very hard (from what a few friends have told me). Any news yet? LEt us know soon, k?
Keep us posted. I’ll keep checking. I am sure everything will be ok.
All my prayers,
Jami
OMG I wonder if there is a baby yet? Neither one of my labors’ were hard, both lasted about 4-6 hours from beginning to end, so I have no clue what they are going thru. I feel for them though. Little to no sleep is hard on a person, especially when it has been going on for a few days. Your sister sounds like a good sport and it sounds like everything is going ok. I am sure having a midwife there to support her is a big help! Your family is in my thoughts. I’ll check back later for an update!
Jenni.. let me know something! I’ll be worrying too if you don’t!
Am keeping everone in my thoughts and prayers!!!!!
Hoping everything is okay and that baby is here safely. Hoping and praying. Update us soon if you can.
Sigh! Finally! I had Hannah at a birthing center and it was 28 hours of torture with no pain meds and a weird presentation. They were minutes away from calling in the lifeflight when I finally pushed her out. The doctor said it was the worst delivery he had ever done.
My next child was born in the hospital and at the first sign of pain I said “GIVE ME DRUGS NOW!” lol.
He is so cute. I am happy that she is doing well and he is going to be ok.
