 My new favorite picture of us *sigh*

The weekend went by way too fast.  Rugby Dude finally got here after a grueling wait at the airport in Denver after he missed the window for check in, poor guy had to wait for the next flight which didn’t get in until four hours later than expected but I was just happy he was here at all!

It was a fabulous time with him, it always is.  It just feels natural; being with him.  We didnt do a lot of going out, except to eat dinner.  We did go see The Pursuit of HappYness and it was wonderful if you haven’t seen it yet, I recommend it (just remember the tissues and don’t rub your eyes when you have popcorn butter and salt on your fingers)

We played a couple games of scrabble and both won a match.  And there was competitive Tetris playing as well (I have an old school Game-Boy from ‘89)  I made him a belated birthday pie and we swapped Christmas presents.  Went out to dinner all three nights but last night went to get a good steak and it was a blast. We had lots of very late nights/ slash early mornings and lots of fantastic conversations, and there was lots of movie watching in the interim. (*ahem*this is the G rated version)

He is probably the most thoughtful guy I have ever known-  In three days he managed to fix my car radio, clean up my kitchen, refill my salt and pepper shakers, took my car through the car wash, took Cody and I for a walk, and fix my record player!  Whew- what a man.

I am trying to make plans to go see him for New years, and Im keeping my fingers crossed that I can find a good deal.  We are both worried about leaving Cody for longer though.  I hope there is an opening at the kennel, so he can at least be around other people and other dogs.   I hope Cody doesn’t hate me by the time I get back!  (He was very competitive for attention when RD was here.)

I am off to bed, I’m exhausted.  It is always draining saying goodbye to someone you cant stand to be away from.  I waited as long as I could at the airport, walked him to security and watched him go through the line before I could actually walk away from him.  I didn’t cry, but I teared up a little when I drove off.

I miss him already.
