Baby Bump

It’s definitely getting close! (click the pic for more)

I can not believe that soon I will be able to add another description to my life list. I am a daughter, a niece, a granddaughter, a sister, a sister in law, and soon I will be an aunt! I am so excited. I wish I had more money, because every time I go out for something I see some cute little blanket or classic pooh thing that I want to buy for the baby. When I get a job that will be what I spend my extra money on- baby stuff!

I am not leaving to see Sarah and Nathan until the 20th, but mom and dad left today. A little early for my taste, but I guess since she doesn’t have an actual due date its better to be safe than sorry. Sarah doesn’t believe in the American health care system, or hospitals, so since she is a doctor of Chiropractic she will be having an In Home Birth with a midwife. She didn’t have a sonogram or ultrasound because of the harm she believes it does to the baby, so we don’t have a definitive due date. We just know it will be towards the end of December or beginning of January. So I am keeping my fingers crossed that the baby will come when I am there. yes the world does revolve around me, didn’t you know?

OH! And did I tell you that Nathans sister is pregnant now too? She is! So at least Sarah will have another mommy in the family with a due date close to hers. I sometimes wish that was me- but its just not my time yet. Their babies will be able to grow up together, how great!

So now I have the dilemma of Christmas shopping for her extended family, because we aren’t giving gifts to each-other this year. I think Id better come prepared at least just in case we go visit Nathans family and they give gifts, I don’t want to be that girl who didn’t give anyone presents. Pier One ornaments are always my fall back gift, so Ill probably have to scrape up some cash somewhere for that. sigh. I hate money.

Let me put that another way- I hate NOT having money. I love money when I have it!

Cody and I decorated the house and put up the tree already. The twinkle lights around the house are just enough to put me into the spirit. I love putting up the old family ornaments mom handed down to me last year. They bring back so many great memories. I even have a raggedy Ann and Andy set! I think either my mom or my aunt made them years ago. Maybe I will buy a new ornament this year and hand it down to my niece or nephew in a few years!

Another dillemma I have is where to leave Cody when Im gone. I usually use this cute little place called Dog Holliday & Miss Kitty’s but they have been booked since before Thanksgiving. I even called around to a bunch of other kennels and pretty much everyone is booked. I have decided to use a pet sitter this year. That way Cody can stay at home, sleep in his own bed (or probably mine) he can eat his own food, and poo in his own yard. I think I found a nice lady from the neighborhood who has done some pet sitting in the past. I’m hoping to meet her next week so she can see Cody and hopefully will feel comfortable coming over to the house twice a day. Either way I feel awful leaving him. If anyone has a magical shrinking machine so that I can shrink him down and put him in my purse on the flight, please let me know. I wish I could take him with me.

This weekend I will be writing Christmas cards. I planned to do it early this year because last year I was so lazy and procrastinated so long that I never sent any out! I went to target for my cards this year and they are so pretty! I need to get Cody to sit in front of the tree for the picture tonight. If anyone wants to do a card exchange send me your address! jen872@msn.com

Tootles!

WOW, it is time already? She doesn’t look almost 9mo pregnant. I was thinking she looked only about 6-7mo?? Time flies. How exciting not knowing the sex of the baby, or even the due date! U just anxiously wait. From my old wives tales that has stuck true for me, I will say she is having a boy. U know what is a good idea? Since the family will all be w/ her have a “poll” as to when the baby will be born. Whomeever wants to participates pays $1.00 to give the date they think the baby will be born. Then the money goes to the baby when he/she is born. We did it for fun when I was preg w/ my daughter and it ended up being very fun for everyone! You sound like you have a pretty fun family so give it a try if you haven’t thought of it already. Oh p.s…. so far I like the site. Nice and simple. :)

    Hey Jaime!
Well that pic is not a recent one- I am still waiting for her to send those :) That pic was probably from August so…

How exciting for you and your sister! Wow — so you don’t even know if it’s going to be a girl or a boy yet! I’m excited for you!

Why can’t you fly Cody with you? The plane ticket for him would probably be cheaper than paying for the sitter. Just a thought…

Victor and I decorated our house today, too! Though we don’t have a tree. The last few years we have decorated our… HOUSE PLANTS! We may just spring for a tree this year, even if it’s artificial.

I like your new site. It’s very streamlined, and, no problems! I have not been closed out once!

    take care,
    ~Nicole

Wow Jenni she looks great- I looked like a beached whale when prego..it was scary. How’s the job hunt going? Are you actively looking or actively wondering what you’d like to venture into? I saw Rugby Dude’s blog…interesting! :) Interesting to see his perspective of everywhere he’s been.

All things baby have me going nuts lately! Talk about a ticking biological clock! Hope all goes well with the birth and I hope it happens while you’re there (because the world DOES revolve around you, doesn’t it?).

You can link to either of my sites, don’t really have a preference. Whichever one you don’t link, people will be able to get to from the other anyway.
